The re-opening of a Thurrock McDonalds drive-thru has delayed buses and caused major tailbacks of traffic.
McDonalds at the Lakeside retail park in West Thurrock was one of 162 locations across the UK that re-opened for drive-thru business only today, which has resulted in queues of traffic on surrounding roads throughout the day.
The fast-food chaos has also disrupted bus operator Ensign, causing delays to some of their services.
This afternoon, the bus operator took to Twitter to make passengers aware, posting: "ROUTES 22, 44 & X80: Delays due to traffic issues in the Lakeside Retail Park area because of the reopening of McDonalds....yes really!"
The congestion follows IKEA's re-opening earlier this week, which saw hundreds flock to the store for it's re-opening.
