Careers fair proves a hit with jobseekers

THE Clacton Gazette’s Job and Training Fair was held at the Princes Theatre in Clacton last Thursday and saw more than 800 jobseekers walk through the door.

This was the first Job and Training Fair the newspaper’s recruitment team has held in Clacton, and it was full of businesses giving helpful advice with the aim of getting perspective job hunters the career they
desire.

The companies attending the event included the RAF, Jobcentre Plus, Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Park Resorts, Adult Community Learning and Partnerships in Care to name but a few.

Teresa Maddock, HR administrator at Partnerships in Care, commented about the day: “The feedback we got from jobseekers attending was very positive, and we hope from this people will attend the open day we are having.”

Partnership in Care is currently looking to recruit support workers, care workers, staff nurses, part-time occupational therapy assistants and part-time activities assistants.

The company’s open day is being held at Oaktree Manor in Heath Road, Tendring, on Wednesday, February 18, between 10am and 8pm.

The next Job and Training exhibition is being held at Charter Hall in Colchester on Thursday April, 30, and there is still time to exhibit and promote your job and training opportunities at this event.
