AN ELDERLY woman was found in a hospital following a overnight search by police officers.
Mary Cox, 74, of The Drive, Warley, was reported missing from her home by her family after she was not seen by relatives from 4pm onwards on Saturday.
Officers conducted a search for the pensioner, who suffers from dementia, putting out a public appeal for anyone who believed they had spotted Mrs Cox to help with investigations.
Shortly after 9.30am on Sunday, it was confirmed by Essex Police she had been found in an east London hospital.
A spokeswoman for Essex Police said: “We can confirm that Mrs Cox has been found.
“She had been found in a confused state and taken to hospital. She is being reunited with her family.”
