A STUDENT had his two front teeth knocked out after being attacked by a gang in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

The 18-year-old from Hutton was waiting with a couple of friends in the queue at a burger van by William Hunter Way in Brentwood when they were assaulted by a group of men at about 3.20am.

He was kicked and punched to the floor causing the teeth to be lost and require extensive dental surgery.

Both the victim’s friends escaped with minor injuries.

Essex Police want to speak with anyone who was out celebrating New Years in the area as they continue to track down the men who carried out the attack.

Anyone with information should contact Pc Danielle Mungham at Loughton police station by calling 101.
