Get your food waste bags
7:00am Thursday 17th January 2013 in News
FREE food waste bags will be given out to residents around Brentwood as part of a scheme to encourage recycling.
Homes will be given two rolls of orange bags, for food. The bags are part of the council’s delivery of waste bags in the spring with the aim of getting more people to recycle food.
Tony Sleep, councillor responsible for the environment, said: “Most of us have now got used to putting our food waste separately into the caddies and then out for collection.
“Now, to help even more people recycle, the council will be giving out two free rolls of the food waste liners to go in your caddies.”
