CHILDREN from Ursuline Preparatory School in Brentwood got dressed up as book characters for World Book Day.

Classes wore clothing themed to the books they are currently reading as a group with costumes including rabbits, ducks and Second World War evacuees.

The school has also held a book week which saw them launch a book called Tales of Mystery and Magic.

Each class has contributed a chapter to the book with pupils being given a copy.
