10:00am Tuesday 15th October 2013 in News
A traveller who was the focus of a seven week manhunt has appeared in court after being arrested on Friday.
Francis O'Donoghue has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one of possessing cannabis and attended a brief hearing at Southend Magistrates' Court on Monday morning.
No plea was taken from the 27-year-old who was found in Southgate, north London, after Essex Police conducted a search for him after the incident at a travellers site in Goatswood Lane, Navestock, on August 27 when two men received gunshot wounds.
O'Donoghue has been remanded in custody until December 30 when he is due to reappear at Basildon Crown Court for another hearing.
