Man accused of helping shooting suspect released

A MAN who had been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender charge has been released without charge.
The 29-year-old from Islington, north London, was questioned by police as part of the investigation into a double shooting at a traveller site in Navestock on August 27.
He had been charged with assisting a suspect evade police capture following a widespread manhunt for 27-year-old Francis O'Donoghue, who police called the main suspect in the case.
Following their enquriries which have now concluded, the male has been released without charge.
O'Donoghue is due to appear at Basildon Crown Court in the week commencing December 30.
