A MINIBUS has been added to a transport group’s fleet after a £35,000 donation was made to them.
Brentwood Community Transport has purchased the low floored vehicle following the money being given by the LV Insurance team based in the town.
The group, who offer transport needs for eldery and disabled people along with services running into more rural parts of the borough, will start using the vehicle straight away.
Tina Tickner, CEO of the transport provider, said: “BCT will be able to expand its services to the vulnerable residents of Brentwood making a difference to the quality of their lives by providing essential transport options.
“It is fantastic to get support from a local business investing in the local community.”
John O’Roarke, managing director of the insurance firm, said the company were pleased to help a worthwhile community group.
Mr O’Roarke said: “As one of the larger employers in Brentwood, we are always looking for ways to support the local community in which our people live and work.
“BCT does fantastic work with local residents and we are delighted to have been able to help them launch a new minibus.”
