A CAMPAIGNER from Brentwood spoke with MPs and Lords in Westminster about changes to the Lobbying Bill.

Malcolm Burgess went to the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre as part of a team from Oxfam to talk about the bill currently being reviewed by the Government.

Many charities have expressed concerns about the leglisation which they feel will limit how they run campaigns with a report being published calling for ministers to rethink the bill.

During the gathering in Westminster, Mr Burgess spoke with politicians including Lord Walton who has expressed worries over the bill.

Mr Burgess said: “It was really good to come along and meet all of the other supporters today.

“Lord Walton said he was very concerned and worried about the impact of the Bill and that he would try and assist with recommendations to make the necessary amendments.”
