Former caretaker from Brentwood in court over rape charges
AN EX-CARETAKER from a school in Brentwood has appeared in court over two allegations of rape.
Dale Morris, 45, of Gloucester Road, Pilgrims Hatch, attended a brief hearing at Basildon Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
The former Brentwood County High School caretaker is accused of raping a woman aged 16 or over at some point between February 2, 2005 and February 6, 2007 in Brentwood.
He has also been charged with raping a women aged 16 or over in Norwich, Norfolk, between February 2, 2009 and February 6, 2011.
Morris was not asked to make a plea at this stage and is due to appear next at Basildon Crown Court on March 31.
