A SMARTPHONE app allowing train passengers to book a taxi to and from stations is being trialled at Ingatestone.
Greater Anglia has launched the Cab & Go app at several of their stations in partnership with Cabline UK and T Dispatch.
Passengers going to and arriving at Ingatestone will be able to book a cab direct from their phone or the internet without having to make a phone call.
Andrew Camp, Greater Anglia's commercial director, said: "The new service is a further step in making rail travel even more convenient for our customers.
"It will be a useful tool that will provide extra confidence for those travelling on business or visiting unfamiliar areas."
