COUNCIL officers are encouraging residents in Brentwood to sign up to a text reminder service for recycling dates.
The messages sent out by Brentwood Council act as a reminder for when glass and garden waste collections will be done by refuse workers in the borough.
Since being launched in May 2012 the free service has seen 700 people sign up to it.
Now the council wants more to join the scheme.
Keith Parker, councillor responsible for the environment, said: "By reminding residents we aim to improve our recycling rate and support a Cleaner Greener Brentwood."
