A DUO who have spent a combined 60 years helping their communities have been rewarded for their efforts.
The Brentwood Council Civic Awards saw Neville Brown take home the Lifetime Achievement award while Maggie Kiel scooped the Services to the Community gong during the ceremony at Mount Avenue Banqueting Suite on Thursday.
Mr Brown has spent the last 40 years helping with various groups including being a founding member of the Brentwood ả Becket Rotary Club and being chairman of the Saint Francis Hospice Development Trust.
Over a period of 20 years, Mrs Kiel has volunteered at the Special Needs and Parents charity's pre-school group providing counselling sessions.
