DELAYS were caused to motorists travelling in Coxtie Green this morning after a car crash partially blocked a road.
Just before 7am, a blue Mini Cooper and blue Citreon estate car collided on Wheelers Lane, near the junction with Coxtie Green Road.
Police and paramedics raced to the scene, and attended to the drivers. Neither was seriously injured.
Police closed part of the road causing traffic to crawl along Coxtie Green Road between the junctions of Chequers Road and Mores Lane.
The road was reopened at 9am.
Fencer Les Chalmers, 38, from Emerson Park, near Hornchurch, was working in the area and saw the aftermath.
He said: "It looked like a really nasty smash. There was at least three police cars and an ambulance at the scene. I saw that the front of the Citreon and it was quite badly damaged. I'm glad to hear no-one was seriously hurt."
