A WORKSHOP has been set up to look for the "unique selling points" of Brentwood.

Businesses are being urged to attend the event at the Holiday Inn in Brook Street on Tuesday April 8.

Starting at 1pm, the workshop organised by Brentwood Council and Visit Essex will look at creative ideas to sell the borough to tourists.

Council leader Louise McKinlay said: "Everyone may not like TOWIE but it does hold an attraction that has helped boost Brentwood's profile.

"But the other side is that there is more to Brentwood than reality TV.

"We have a great community, some fantastic parks, independent shops and historical places and we need to celebrate that more.

"I would encourage any business in the Borough that has some creative ideas on what is special and unique about Brentwood to go along to the Visit Essex workshop and share their ideas."

Anyone interested in attending the event should contact Lisa Bone from Visit Essex by emailing lisa.bone@essex.gov.uk or calling 01245 437305 ext 51305.
