FALCONS, horses, sheep and ducks are all set to join the native deer in a country park for a big show on May Day weekend.

The Weald Park Country Show is coming to the park in South Weald on Sunday May 4 and Monday May 5 with activities and exhibitions set to please all the family.

Now in it’s third year, the show features a large mix of different displays with experts in falconry showing off the skills of the bird of prey.

Other animals will also be at the park including shire horses, sheep who will be racing with each other and ducks who will be herded.

Dog lovers are also set for a treat with canines strutting their stuff with agility displays plus a show from a group of Honiahaka Northern Inuit dogs.

Visitors can also bring along their own pooches for fun and games for them.

Alongside all the critters, demonstrations will also be held at the event from craftsmen like woodturners, blacksmiths, potters and furniture making.

Chefs will also be at the show cooking up dishes and giving culinary tips to punters.

Live music and children’s entertainment including a petting zoo and circus will also be part of the event’s festivities.

Doors will be open on both days between 10am and 5pm.
