A WOMAN who died after being hit by a train at Shenfield last Saturday has been named as Josephine Scanlon.
An inquest will be opened at Chelmsford Coroners Court on Monday to look into the death of the 43-year-old from Brentwood.
Paramedics were called to the station just after 8.25pm after receiving reports of a passenger being struck by a train, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
British Transport Police officers have confirmed they are not treating the incident as suspicious.
