BRENTWOOD County High School celebrates its 100th birthday this year, and has issued an open invitation to all former staff, students and parents to come back to school for a day.

An open school event on Saturday, July 5, concludes the year of celebrations with the school, on Seven Arches Road, opening its doors for an afternoon to anyone who has an interest in the school.

Head teacher, Stephen Drew, said: “We are hoping many people from Brentwood and beyond who spent their school days here, or who have worked here in the past, will take this opportunity to come back to school to relive old memories.”

Current staff and students will be on hand from 2pm-5pm on the day to show people around.

Mr Drew added: “We hope we will hear many interesting stories about life at the school over the years, and allow people to recapture the special memories of their days at BCHS.”

During the afternoon there will be an Exhibition of current students’ photographic and art work, music and drama entertainment and items from our archives will be on display.

Those unable to make the day can still arrange a visit to the school by calling 01277 238900 or emailing bchs@bchs.essex.sh.uk.

Parking and refreshments will be available on the day.
