RESEARCH shows homes in Brentwood are thriving in the current housing market.
The numbers show 98 percent of homes that go on the market achieve their asking price, with each property on average receiving 32 viewings.
Those viewings take place in just 24 days, meaning property in the town is listed and sold in a little over three weeks.
The figures, released by Balgores Property Group, show similar levels of success across other parts of Essex including Chelmsford and Hornchurch.
Martin Gibbon, managing director at Balgores, said: “There has been growing confidence amongst vendors and buyers because of low interest rates and improving economic conditions. This has led to a boom in the housing market in Essex.”
It comes as further research showed rental prices in Brentwood dropped by five percent in the first quarter of 2014, which many believe has been brought on by the governments help to buy scheme.
