TOP chef Clover Hutson will be showing children how to cook up treats from leftovers at the Brentwood Family Fun Day next week.

The professional chef will be running hourly children’s cooking demonstrations at the Love Food Hate Waste Live Cookery Roadshow at the fun day on Friday, August 8, at the at King George’s Playing Fields.

The Recycle for Essex team will be on hand to show visitors how they can save up to £60 a month by reducing food waste. They will also be giving out handy tips and advice on date labels, food storage and portion sizes.

A WasteBuster volunteer will be on hand to talk about how to make a difference in the local community by becoming a waste reduction education volunteer.

The event takes place from 11am-3pm. There will be activities for all the family to enjoy including face painting, bouncy castles, Punch and Judy plus much more.
