THE original X Factor winner Steve Brookstein returns to Bretnwood later this year to remember the legends of soul.
In 2004 with a record six million votes in one night, Steve Brookstein went on to score a number one album and single with his debut releases following the show.
At the start of his career he became a regular fixture at clubs, singing soul classics by Luther Vandross and Al Green.
In 1996, he signed to MCA Records, but his debut single was never released after the record closed.
Then in 2004, he entered the X Factor and with huge public support he went on to win the competition.
The subsequent record deal saw his debut single, a cover version of Phil Collins' Against All Odds reach number one in the charts.
However just 12 weeks later, a fall out with the shows boss Simon Cowell saw Brookstein leave the label.
He plays at the Brentwood Theatre on Friday, October 24.
Tickets are £15 and available online or from the theatre box office.
