A Brentwood Council member of staff loves work so much... he decided to get married there!
Ashley Culverwell, who’s head of health, safety and localism, married long term partner Andrew Cunningham yesterday (Friday 22nd) in the registrar office by the Town Hall on Ingrave Road.
Following the ceremony which was attended by family and friends, the couple were greeted outside by confetti throwing colleagues and the Mayor of Brentwood, Councillor Vicky Davies, who wanted to wish them a long and happy future together.
Ashley, who has worked at the council for 25 years, said: "We chose to get married here because I have worked and lived in Brentwood for 25 years so it was fitting to do it in my hometown next to my place of work.
“The Town Hall is my second home and it feels like we are one big family here so it was the perfect venue where colleagues could be part of it too."
