A MALE grooming salon from Shenfield set up camp at the recent V Festival to style the stars.

Menace, which opened seven years ago as the first male grooming salon in Essex, was given back stage access to serve the likes of Rizzle Kicks, Cee Lo Green and George Ezra ahead of their performances at the Chelmsford event.

Creator Matthew Norris has twice been named the Essex Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and the salon won Best Male Grooming Salon in the UK 2011. The salon is also a regular backdrop on Towie.

Manace teamed up with The Pop-Up Barbershop to create the backstage for exclusive events such as V.

Matthew said: “It was our third year at the festival and I am chuffed that we have really established ourselves. We have really made it our own. It is not just celebrity festival goers popping in to see us, but also the headliners themselves! It is as exclusive as it gets.

“We did dressing room call outs for haircuts and shaves for Cee Lo Green, Aloe Blacc and the Rizzle Kicks. It doesn’t get any more rock and roll than performing a wet shave on Cee Lo Green in a Belmont Barber chair outside his dressing room on the grass at a festival.”

The Menace team offered haircuts, wet shaves, head massage, mini Dermalogica facials and even eyebrow, nostril and ear hair removal! For more information on the services available for events such as this, visit www.thepopupbarbershop.com
