THE price of renting in Brentwood has dropped five percent since April.
The average rental price in the town now stands at £1,101 a month, as opposed to £1,161 in April.
The average figure across Essex increased nine percent for the same time period, 1.4 percent more than across the UK. Figures come from the housing stock of Balgores Property Group, which also shows Chelmsford has risen 34 percent in that time.
Howard Lester, director of Balgores, said: “We have seen an increase in people purchasing property to rent; larger investment landlords are coming back to the market and increasing their portfolios; and more tenants now buying property. Generally, there has been increase in the level of stock available.”
