A MOROCCAN teenager who went missing after going sightseeing in London has returned home safe and well.
Aalaya Tarawate, 16, who is in the UK visiting her aunt and uncle who live in Brentwood, travelled up to London to do some sightseeing on last Tuesday.
She is thought to have made contact with fellow Arabic or French speakers on a social network site before leaving Brentwood.
A police spokesman announced this morning: "Missing teenager Aalaya Tarawate, who went missing from her relatives home in Brentwood last Tuesday returned to their house safe and well last night."
Concerns were raised when Aalaya did not return home following the trip to London.
There were sightings of her in Shepherd's Bush, West London, on Wednesday afternoon and at Stratford railway station that same evening.
Police were particularly concerned for Aalaya as she does not speak any English and had little money on her.
