A NIGHT of dancing will raise money for carers in Brentwood.

Dance groups from all over Essex will gather at the Brentwood Theatre to dance to movie soundtracks in a production called Move to the Movies, to raise funds for Crossroads Care.

Audiences can expect well-known tracks from the likes of High School Musical, Mamma Mia!, Hairspray and Footloose.

There will also be dances from the most popular modern musical of them all, Grease.

Crossroads Care runs day care clubs for dementia patients and children with special needs, which gives their carer-relatives time to enjoy time away. It also arranges regular social activities for young carers, who are often juggling their schoolwork with looking after a parent at home.

The young carers also attend a club run by Crossroads which aims to relieve stress. This is done by helping the carers to have time to themselves, and giving them someone to talk to.

The show takes place on Saturday, February 28, starting at 6.30pm.

Tickets are £13.50 and are available from www.brentwood-theatre.co.uk
