BRENTWOOD'S motorists endured long delays as they made their journeys during rush hour...with rogue cows thought to be partly responsible.

And there are still long delays at the Brook Street roundabout.

Traffic was at a standstill on the A12 London-bound approaching the roundabout, with queues back to J13 for Ingatestone.

Problems have been occurring since around 6.30am and are thought to be due to cows being on the carriageway earlier and a broken down vehicle.

There are also delays anti-clockwise on the M25 between J29 for Romford and J28 for Brook Street roundabout. Traffic is also slow in the opposite direction of the orbital road between J28 Brook Street and J27 for the M11.

Traffic is also queuing on the approach to Brook Street roundabout in Brook Street, between the roundabout and Nags Head Lane.

Temporary traffic lights in Kelvedon Hatch are also causing congestion in both directions in Ongar Road.

Delays are now easing across the borough.
