Teen charged over £24k fraud on elderly couple
A 17-year-old youth arrested in connection with a telephone fraud in which an Essex couple were tricked out of £24,000 has been charged with fraud by false representation.
The boy, who is from east London, has been remanded in custody to appear before Basildon Youth Court this morning.
