A charity is calling for more volunterrs to get involved with upcoming events and fundraisers in the New Year.

The J's Hospice team wanted people of all ages to get involved to help them raise money to fund young adult's medical, respite and social care.

Young adults with life limiting illnesses in Essex can become socially isolated and are not suited to an ‘older’ hospice environment – The J’s embrace their unique requirements and endeavour to offer care tailored to their needs, in the comfort of their own home.

Volunteers can support some of the charity’s high-profile events, offer back-office administration or become an integral part of the online communications team.

Whatever their skill set or experience, volunteers can benefit from experienced marketing, finance, administration and fundraising professionals who would be delighted to welcome new faces into the team.

People volunteer for a range of reasons and from a variety of backgrounds.

Perhaps you’ve just left college or university and need some ‘hands-on’ experience before entering the job market?

Maybe you’ve come to the end of your professional working life and would just like to make a contribution to the community one or two days per week?

Many mums also volunteer for some time to boost their working knowledge after taking a career break.

Even if you can only volunteer for an hour or two per week or day the charity, which is based in Great Baddow, needs your help.
