POLICE are appealing for information following an armed robbery at Mccolls in Great Warley.

At about 7.15am on Sunday, January 18, two men entered the convenience store in Eagle Way.

One of the men was armed with a small black handgun. They forced the female staff member aged in her 50s to open the safe which they emptied of its contents; believed to be a four-figure sum.

They then tied up the victim’s wrists and ankles and left the store.

The first man is described as white, 5ft 2ins to 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build and spoke with a local accent. He wore a black tracksuit, was clean shaven and was the one with the gun.

The second was 5ft 4ins to 5ft 8ins tall, of stocky build, wearing a dark hooded top with the words SCHOTT NYC on the back.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw these men that morning or at other times in the vicinity of the store to contact them at Brentwood on 101.
