Brentwood Borough Council would like to remind shoppers of changes to car parks in Shenfield that were made in a bid to minimise disruption to local businesses and shoppers during the construction of Crossrail.
As a way of helping people to continue to visit shops and businesses in Shenfield, the Council made changes to parking in both Friars Avenue and Hunters Avenue car parks at the start of April.
Both car parks are now shoppers parking with a maximum stay of two hours and with no return within four hours.
To further encourage people to continue to use the local businesses the Council agreed to make parking free in these car parks throughout the work.
Crossrail started work at Shenfield Station in February and are using a small part of the car park in Friars Avenue in the early stages.
As work progresses they will be using more of the car park and this is expected to continue until March 2017.
All on-street parking will remain the same but this may be reviewed at a later date if it is felt appropriate.
