A brave runner has raised more than £3,000 for Parkinson's UK by running thr London Marathon.
Ashley Clarke, 24, of Brentwood raised over £3,000 for Parkinson’s UK, when he ran the Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday, April 26.
Ashley completed the 26.2 mile challenge in three hours and 59 minutes, on the last day of Parkinson’s Awareness Week.
Ashley joined a 230-strong team of runners of all abilities who chose to support Parkinson’s UK.
Parkinson’s UK hopes to raise over £315,000 from the event so it can continue with its vital research work to find a cure, and improve the lives of the 127,000 people in the UK who are living with Parkinson’s.
To keep the adrenaline flowing, tickets are now on sale for Shake with Laughter at The Comedy Store, London on Monday 19 October at 8pm.
Parkinson’s UK London Marathon runner and supporter Rob Deering will be performing alongside Stewart Lee and Elis James.
