Police in Brentwood are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Bird Lane, Great Warley where a car was stolen.
Three men in a silver Mercedes pulled alongside a black Mercedes and told the occupants they were police officers.
After pulling over in front of a gate in a wooded area just off Bird Lane, they then made off with their mobile phone and drove off their car, the black Mercedes.
The two male victims were driving along Great Warley Street on Wednesday April 29 at around 2.45am when this happened.
The suspects are all described as being white men. The first was around 6ft tall, in his mid to late twenties and with short dark hair. He was wearing a black hoodie. The second was around 6ft 5 tall, of average to skinny build, in his mid twenties and wearing a blue hoodie.
