POP princess Pixie Lott has been added to this year’s Brentwood Festival line-up.
Pixie, a former Brentwood County High School pupil, has shot to world fame with hits such including Mama Do and Boys and Girls.
Also announced to play to festival as headliners, joining the Human League, will be Billy Ocean and Sister Sledge.
This year sees Ocean celebrating the 30th anniversary of his album Suddenly which included hit Caribbean Queen.
Speaking ahead of the festival, which takes place in July, Pixie said: “I’m really excited to return to Brentwood and perform in front of a great festival crowd this summer.”
Being flown in especially for an exclusive set at the festival, 70’s and 80’s legends Sister Sledge are best remembered for their blockbuster song We Are Family.
Jason Jopson, festival director, said: “This year’s line up is phenomenal, with something for everyone. We’re flying in Sister Sledge to kick off our festival with a great party vibe, which will continue into Saturday with Billy Ocean’s Caribbean-influenced set.
“To have hometown pop royalty, Pixie Lott, performing on the Sunday with her fresh, fun sound just rounds everything off perfectly.”
Other featured acts include Alexander O’Neal, Jocelyn Brown, Rebecca Ferguson, Jack Pack and Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel. The festival takes place at the Brentwood Centre from July 17-19.
Adult tickets are priced from £25, youth tickets £10. Children under 10 attend for free. VIP passes and overnight camping are also available.
