JOIN Child Bereavement UK on June 28 at King George’s Playing Fields, Brentwood, for their Onesie Fun Run and Family Day.

The 1km and 3km Onesie Fun Runs are open to people of all ages and abilities.

The route will take runners through the ornamental garden and Hartswood Access Trail which adjoins King George’s Playing Fields and has a children’s playground that families can make use of after the run.

Proceeds from the Onesie Fun Run & Family Day will go to Child Bereavement UK, a charity which supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement.

Joey Essex, a Child Bereavement UK Ambassador who launched the Onesie Walk in 2014, and whose Mum died when he was 10 years old said: "It was really hard when my Mum died, so I'm very happy that Child Bereavement UK can support other kids, and parents like my Dad, who are going through what we went through."

The Family Day is a fantastic addition to the fun runs and there will be plenty for all the family to enjoy. From birds of prey displays and face painting to refreshments and craft stalls, all ages will be catered for.

Emma Riley, Senior Events Fundraising Officer at Child Bereavement UK, said: “Please come along and join us for a fun-filled day. You can run in memory of someone special or just come along to take part and enjoy a great day out for all the family.”
