Shenfield is having a lazy Sunday afternoon jazz event on Sunday.

Organised by Shenfield’s Trade Clusters, this free event starts at 12pm and will feature live music, street entertainers, hot dogs, and seasonal strawberries and cream.

There will also be coffee, craft beer, paella and prosecco, Pimm’s available.

Supported by the Brentwood Borough Renaissance Group, the jazz afternoon will also give shoppers a chance to visit their local shops and the pop up market stalls.

Kaye Thurgood, owner of Sincerely Yours and one of the event organisers, said: “After the success of last year’s Lighting Up Shenfield, the traders wanted to plan a fun, family afternoon for the community.

"We hope that everyone will come along to spend a few hours enjoying the music, food, drink and shopping on offer.”

Brentwood Borough Renaissance Group Chair, Clive Othen, said: “It’s great to see so many independent shops coming together to create a community-focused event that brings visitors to Shenfield.”
