A professional theatre company will be bringing Northanger Abbey to life on stage at the Brentwood Theatre tomorrow.
With just six actors and a unique comedic style, DOT Productions will take on Jane Austen's classic tale in a witty adaptation by Bryan Johnson.
Louisa-Marie Hunt, DOT co-producer and fan of Northanger Abbey, said: "Jane Austen’s novels are so popular and timeless, as we’ve seen by the plethora of films and TV series that have been made of them, that having an Austen novel adapted for our 2015 tour was something we thought our audiences would enjoy."
The company works with experienced set designers, directors and includes a talented cast to bring the tale to life. Julia Magnay, of DOT Productions, said: “The talent we saw at our auditions this year was astonishing.
"It made the casting decisions very difficult but we are extremely excited to be working with such gifted and energetic actors."
The tour begins tomorrow, (Saturday, July 4) at Brentwood Theatre at 8pm.
Tickets are £14 and the box office number is 01277 200 350.
