One in three people attending the Brentwood Festival at the weekend will be experiencing emotional problems.

The local NHS talking therapy team will be at the festival, providing advice on how to access emotional support to those who need it.

There are times when we all feel stressed or unhappy, generally these bad times pass, but sometimes there are problems that do not go away so easily and it gets harder to cope - this is when your local NHS talking therapy can help.

‘Therapy For You’ is a free service offered by the NHS which provides a range of emotional support.

This could be anything from stress and anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, family and other relationship difficulties, problems with sleep, or coping with life changes and other events.

Whatever the emotion we can make a difference, and help you help yourself to feel better.

We run a number of guided self-help courses that will help you to understand why you feel the way you do; introducing coping strategies to enable you to overcome these emotions.

• Understanding Sleep

• Understanding your loss of self-esteem

• Understanding your low mood after childbirth

• Understanding loss and bereavement

• Understanding Obsessions and Compulsions

If you or someone you know is suffering, and could benefit from talking to us, look out for our ‘Therapy For You’ stand at the Brentwood Festival - there’s lots of help available and it really can make a difference.
