BRENTWOOD came fourth in a Essex commuter hot spots league table.
The town finished behind Gidea Park, Hornchurch and Upminster in the table, which was judged on house prices, journey time, season ticket cost and cost of parking at the train station.
The research was carried out by estate agent Beresfords. The arrival of Crossrail in the next two years is expected to see Brentwood rise in the table with house prices also expected to soar.
