A nine-week-old puppy and a car have been stolen during a burglary in West Horndon.
Pickle, a white Maltese Terrier, and a black Range Rover Sport, with the registration plate AV61 XJP, were stolen from a property on Petresfield Way between 2.15pm and 3pm yesterday (Monday, January 25).
The puppy was stolen from the kitchen of the house but the owner’s other dog, a three-year-old Maltese Terrier, was left behind.
Adele Rowley, Pickle's owner, said: "I’ve only had Pickle a week but have grown really attached to her. My other dog is missing her too – her tail has been down since she was taken.
"I just can’t understand why someone would take Pickle and need to know she is being fed and looked after.
"Please help share our appeal and if you know anything, please do the right thing and call the police.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Pc Paul Burnett at Brentwood police station on 101.
Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
