Congratulations to Brentwood School’s mixed gymnastics team who performed superbly at the British Gymnastics National Final to take the Senior School’s first ever bronze medal.
Thirteen-year-old William Loader, and Thomas Howard, David McGill, Ashley Duley, Sophie Farquhar and Amelia Blee, all aged 12, performed outstandingly well in a mixture of floor and vault disciplines at the British Schools Gymnastics Association (BSGA) Finals at Fenton Manor, Stoke-on-Trent, on Sunday.
Director of Sport, Mr Ian Wignall, congratulated the team on a brilliant performance and praised the inspirational leadership of their gymnastics coaches Ms Kennon and Ms Coleman.
Coach Jennifer Kennon added: “We are so proud and the pupils are a pleasure to coach. It’s so nice that gymnastics is on the map at Brentwood Senior School and we hope more children will want to try it out.”
