THE 1ST Warley Scouts are sowing the seeds for a building fund which will enable them to replace their Eagle Hall headquarters, which was destroyed by fire.
The Scouts, Beavers, Cubs and Explorers will be holding a plant sale to add to the funds for the new headquarters.
Their HQ was destroyed in a fire last August.
The sale will be held in the grounds of Eagle Hall on The Drive in Warley on Saturday, May 14 between 10am-4pm with all proceeds going to the 1st War - ley Scout Group Building Fund.
Leader Simon Timmins said: “We hold a plant sale every year, but the money we raise this year will be particularly important as we look towards the rebuilding of our headquarters.
“Although insurance covers much of the building costs, we still need to replace tents, tables, cooking equipment and sports kit, which all went up in flames.”
The plant sale will include a great variety of local nursery grown bedding, vegetable and tomato plants.
The Scouts will also sell tea and cakes on the day to raise additional funds for their HQ.
