A PRE-SCHOOL has been praised for turning around its fortunes.
Billericay Methodist Pre-school, in Western Road, Billericay, was rated as inadequate after its Ofsted inspection in November, with concerns raised over the effectiveness of its leadership and management and the personal development, behaviour and welfare of children.
Inspectors returned just six months later and found “significant improvements” and “considerable changes”
had been made.
In a report published this week, an Ofsted spokesman said: “Staff provide a welcoming and well planned environment to interest children in their play.
Resources are carefully matched to suit the age range of children attending.
“Children are very happy and settled, which helps them to form positive relationships with staff and helps support their emotional well-being.
"All children make consistently good progress in their learning and development. Children are well prepared for the next stage in their learning.”
