A BRENTWOOD bookshop is joining hundreds of others up and down the country to celebrate the 10th annual Independent Bookshop Week.
The Chicken and Frog, an independent bookseller in Ongar Road, will play host to two children's authors - award winning Daniel Whelan and Josie Don.
Daniel, who published the Box of Demons earlier this year, will visit the shop on Saturday June 18.
Josie, whose first book Lum received a very warm reception, will be stopping by to meet visitors on Saturday June 25.
Independent Bookshop Week, which runs from June 18-25, aims to promotes independent bookshops, great books, strong reading communities, and the idea of shopping locally.
About 400 shops have signed up across the UK.
