A SCHOOL is one step closer to building a reflection garden for children who would like a peaceful place to relax during playtime.

Ingatestone and Fryerning Junior School received a £250 donation for the project, from housing developers Cala Homes, which has its Trueloves Grange development less than a mile away.

Designed by pupils and built in an enclosed area, the garden will be used as a quiet space for children to sit and enjoy during their break times

Maire O’Regan at Ingatestone and Fryerning Junior School, said: “We are delighted with Cala Homes’ donation to our special garden project.

“A reflection garden is a wonderful way for our pupils to have quiet time away from the playground if they need it.

“The children have thoroughly enjoyed designing ideas for the new space and can’t wait for the garden to be finished.”

The garden, which will be visible from school classrooms, will feature a range of gardening spaces, seating and wildlife areas.

Donna Cole, sales manager at Cala Homes in Chiltern, said: “It was wonderful to see how excited the children are about the new garden and it is going to be an excellent asset to the school.

“We hope that our £250 donation will help to add lots of weird and wonderful plants and creatures to the garden for the children to sit and enjoy.”
