MAYFLOWER High School, in Billericay, is celebrating an impressive set of exam results.

The school's A level pass rate was 98.8 per cent.

Two students achieved the top grade of A* in all of their A Level subjects.

Nine students achieved an A* in at least one subject, with twelve students attaining A* and A grades in all their subjects.

Headteacher Lee Brumby said: "We are very pleased to report these excellent results which reflect the continuing tradition of outstanding academic success at Mayflower High School.

"The results have exceeded our expectations, and are testament to the dedication and tenacity of both students and staff and the unfailing support of parents and governors.

"It is with great pride that I can announce that we have delivered exemplary standards and outstanding results in the sixth form at Mayflower High School."
