FIRE and sparks are expected this year at the Little Totham Pro-Am Music Festival after two acts from Essex on Tour agree to take part.

First up will be the bright young spark which is Alex Pearce.

Born and bred in Essex the 19-year-old singer is thought to have immense promise. Having initially trained at Italia Conte she is now pursuing a degree in vocals from the Academy of Contemporary Music.

With a sound made for jazz standards, classic soul and R and B classics she is bound to have the crowd up and dancing with hits by Amy Winehouse, Joss Stone and Corrine Bailey Rae likely to be included in her performance.

Miss Pearce will be performing at All Saints’ Church, Church Lane, Little Totham at 7.30pm on Monday September 8.

And on Saturday September 13 it will be the turn of the Flamin Dames.

Hilary Fisher and Helen Whittington make up the Flamin Dames and are described as two multi-talented and classically trained vocalists with a list of impressive operatic roles behind them.

Face the Music is their show as a tongue-in-cheek performance from the classical world. Sure to include music from the musicals, cabaret, spoof arias and much more the pair will be accompanied by a concert pianist performing a concert suitable for all ages.

Essex on Tour is funded by Essex County Council and participating districts enabling people to buy sibsidised tickets in local venues.

It is a rural and community touring scheme working in partnership with local people to provide professional live arts events to villages and community venues throughout the county.

This year the tour will feature 44 performances across 44 venues. For more information on Essex on Tour visit www.essexontour.org uk For more information on the rest of the music festival contact Vivienne on 01621 891660.
