A POPULAR folk supergroup will be returning to the Maldon district as part of their national Christmas tour.
St Agnes Fountain will be performing at Maldon Town Hall, on Monday December 8, as they promote their sixth album of Christmas music entitled ‘Soal Cake’.
Comprising of Chris Leslie, Chris While and Julie Matthews (radio two folk award multi-nominees) and David Hughes (Q magazine album of the year songwriter), the band will be performing in Maldon for the fourth time as part of their 16 date tour.
Mr Hughes said: “It’s always good to play in Maldon. It’s a good opportunity for me to see friends at Christmas time when, over the last few years I’ve spent much of December at home at all.”
The band also have a Christmas single called ‘I’ve Got My Lights Up’ out as a download now.
For more about the tour, album and single visit www.myspace.com/stagnesfountain And for tickets to the concert, at 8pm on December 8, call Maldon Tourist Information on 01621 856503. Tickets are £14.
