FIRE crews from across south Essex tackled a massive blaze at a Basildon warehouse.
The fire broke out at around 5.30am this morning at the fibre glass manufacturers in Bowlers Croft, Basildon.
Around 50 firefighters were involved in tackling the blaze.
An aerial ladder platform was used to douse the flames from above while crews had to pump in water from a hydrant in nearby Cranes Farm Road.
The use of water caused difficulty for firefighters on the ground due to the cold temperatures causing ice.
Two workers were working at the Fibresport warehouse when the fire broke out.
The fire was brought under control by 8.30am.
The fire officer in charge, Jim Jones, said: "We believe the cause is related to the products used in the manufacturing of fibre glass and the fire was accidental."
